Does the idea of feeling like a reporter in a nature documentary appeal to you? Now you have the opportunity to experience live the animals that you have only seen on TV. Stalk them with camera and binoculars at the ready and observe their behavior in the wild. Brown bears, deer, chamois, ibex ... A large variety of species, some of them endangered, can be seen in a way that does not disturb them. Immerse yourself in the lush nature of the Bierzo region of Leon, and also enjoy its incomparable cuisine. If you are someone who enjoys seeing untamed nature and who cares for the environment, this experience is for you.
Led by the best guides you will see different animals such as brown bears, deer, chamois, ibex, etc. You will get to know them well while invaluable knowledge is imparted by our experts in the field. All necessary material will be provided. We ask only that you respect the environment and the indications of the guides.
This experience is designed make the most of and enjoy our natural resources, without having a negative impact on them. On the contrary, our aim is to help clean up the areas we pass through and to avoid damage and disturbance to the fauna and flora.

Description: The Cornón with its 2188 metres is the highest point of the Somiedo natural park. Made of white quartzite, it is covered with countless species of lichens. Depending on the light and humidity conditions, these appear in a range of different colors – never ceasing to surprise with the resulting chromatic effect. Along the way, if silence is maintained, it is common to come across groups of grazing chamois. It is also possible to see a large number of raptors: buzzards, kestrels, honey buzzards, short-toed eagles, owls, vultures, and sometimes even storks, this being one of the few places in Asturias where it is possible to encounter this species.
Afternoon: Up close and personal with the Cantabrian Bear
After lunch and with the Cornón route behind us, we will head for the regions of Laciana and Alto Sil in order to observe the Cantabrian Brown Bear in the wild at dusk.
We will focus on its habits and habitat while doing a short 2 km route, stopping at strategic points in order to observe the animal with binoculars.
The published price is based on a minimum group of 2 persons.

If you are interested in learning more about the fauna and flora of this area, we also do trips of 5 to 7 days. Additionally, if you want to focus on a particular area like Alto Sil, El Bierzo, Bahia, Laciana ... or a specific Cantabrian animal, we will do our best to comply with your wishes.
